** Four Thoughts for a New Year
------------------------------------------------------------

“I have faith that 2023 will bring us closer to realizing the full potential of philanthropy to drive equity and opportunity,” Satonya Fair writes. “And because we can only realize this and our collective visions for transformative change together, I have four ideas that will guide my actions and I hope spark some inspiration as you set your own intentions for the year.”

** Last Call for Ideas
------------------------------------------------------------

Cocreate PEAK2023 with us by envisioning a new kind of annual convening experience and emergent learning journey for PEAK2023 in Baltimore this May. Start by reviewing our Call for Ideas ([link removed]) to see the innovative ways we’ll be gathering. We’re eager to hear your ideas for sessions that will illuminate our Learn, Share, Evolve Principle, lift up stories and insights from across the PEAK community, and explore ways that members are leaning into each of our Principles to be activated change agents in transforming philanthropy. We’ve extended the deadline to January 25.

** Staff News
------------------------------------------------------------

Last Friday was Chantias Ford’s last day at PEAK. During her two years with the organization, Chantias contributed to many initiatives, including the development of Principles resources, Grants Management 101, and programming for our virtual annual convenings. In addition, she served as interim programs and knowledge director and as coeditor of the latest edition of the Journal. We wish Chantias the very best in her future endeavors!

** PEAK Peer Network Spotlight
------------------------------------------------------------

PEAK offers members diverse peer spaces for learning, sharing, and evolving in our thriving chapters ([link removed]) and peer groups ([link removed]) , which include caucuses, affinity groups, communities of practice, and working groups. Each month, we look forward to showcasing the meaningful programming and networking taking place in these volunteer-run spaces.
For the first time ever, the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) Caucus, Black Caucus, and Latinx Caucus in December joined together for a holiday celebration that centered on cultural exchanges. Members shared their favorite holiday traditions, music, trivia, and food, and in the process it deepened caucus members’ sense of belonging while also expanding their professional networks.

** Our Gratitude
------------------------------------------------------------

We extend our gratitude to Barr Foundation, Borealis Philanthropy, and The William & Flora Hewlett Foundation for their unrestricted grants to PEAK.

We also thank Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, Lumina Foundation, Ford Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, and Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust for their matching gifts.

Thank you to Janet Camarena (Candid), Adam Sanders (Mother Cabrini Health Foundation), Tiauna George (Energy Foundation), Teresita Maz (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation), Eusebio Díaz (Health Forward Foundation), Miyesha Perry (Bainum Family Foundation), Elsa Chin (JP Morgan Chase & Co.), and Bruce Weindruch (History Factory) for their individual contributions to PEAK.
