Here’s what a default would mean for Veterans and Military Families:

John -

According to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, at some point tomorrow the United States will reach its debt limit.

We’ll have a few months to raise that limit, but Republicans have all but pledged to hold those negotiations hostage for whatever far-right cause their base craves.

Here’s what a default would mean for Veterans and Military Families:

According to Defense Secretary Austin, he would have “no authority or ability to ensure that our service members, civilians, or contractors would be paid in full or on time.”

But there’s more...

Gold Star Family benefits would be at risk.

Retiree benefits would be at risk.

And our national security, very much built upon our economic strength, would be at risk.

Veterans served their country. We did our job. Far-right lawmakers need to do theirs.

Those voices of Veterans and Military Families will be crucial in this fight. So we’re asking:

Can you please contribute $5, $10 or whatever you can afford today to help VoteVets elevate the voices of Veterans and Military Family Members in the coming debt ceiling fight? There is so much at stake here.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly:

Thank you,
