Governor McKee delivered a clear message during his State of the State address last night: It’s Our Time, Rhode Island!

Here on Team McKee, we’re so proud of everything the Governor has accomplished during his first two years in office. Thanks to the Governor’s leadership and strong partnership with the General Assembly, we provided much-needed tax relief for families, seniors, and veterans; we helped small businesses get back on their feet; we put Rhode Island on a path to 100 percent renewable energy by 2033; we passed the smartest gun safety legislation in the country; and we made historic investments into housing and infrastructure projects across the state.

Now, we’re excited to work together to write our state’s next chapter. We’re ready to build a stronger Rhode Island – and to ensure that every Rhode Islander is lifted up.

Last night, the Governor laid out his priorities for this year’s budget and his vision for continuing our progress through 2030:

• Fight inflation to support families and small businesses through tough times
• Invest in good paying J-O-B-S and raise incomes across the state
• Ensure that all of our children have access to a high quality public education
• Build a robust and capable Department of Housing
• And fix our roads!
