Recovering road-killed wildlife on Wyoming roads requires authorization from Game and Fish

CHEYENNE ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Department would like to remind the public that recovering road-killed wildlife requires authorization. To collect roadkill people need approval from Game and Fish prior to collection through the Wyoming 511 app or the Game and Fish desktop application. Authorization for the collection can be done through the app, even without cellular service.

CHEYENNE ??The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is expanding its Collective Conservation Stamp Art Show competition to include a new audience. Wyoming students can now participate in their own contest alongside professional artists during the annual event. The subject of the annual contest is the beaver. Submissions for both the adult and youth competitions must be received by the Game and Fish Headquarters in Cheyenne by 5 p.m. April 1.


Game and Fish Commission invests more dollars for wildlife crossing,?mule deer projects

CHEYENNE ?The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission met in Cheyenne last week for its January meeting. The Commission once again invested in wildlife crossings to help prevent vehicle collisions with big game, voting to approve an additional $750,000 toward the Kemmerer wildlife crossing project on U.S. Highway 189. The project ? consisting of underpasses, an overpass and game fencing ? will help prevent collisions with mule deer and pronghorn and create a safer road for drivers.

CHEYENNE ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Department congratulates 11 employees on their years of service to the State of Wyoming. The following employees celebrated a milestone work anniversary in November and December:
