John,
The Trump administration was a colossal failure in so many different areas, and President Biden has spent the first two years of his presidency cleaning up the mess left behind.
The contrast between the lack of leadership from Donald Trump and the commitment to progress by President Biden is evident in their actions (or lack thereof) to tackle climate change.
In its latest move, Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed tightening a crucial air pollution regulation — something the Trump administration refused to do.
The rule limits the amount of soot, or fine particle pollution, in the air, reducing asthma, heart attacks, and premature deaths. Soot pollution comes from burning fossil fuels in cars, power plants, fires, or construction sites.
Communities of color and low-income households are disproportionately impacted by fine particle pollution. The EPA estimates tightening the regulation can prevent as many as 4,200 deaths annually.
John, this is yet another example of President Biden and his team taking action to improve American lives after four years of inaction and neglect under Trump’s failed leadership.
However, as SEEC members of Congress continue to support President Biden’s efforts to reverse the damage, we know Trump is running again. We cannot let him back in the White House, John, where he can undo all the climate progress we’re making.
Can you contribute today to help our SEEC members in Congress keep fighting for climate progress and working to stop Trump from ever stepping inside the White House again? [[link removed]]
