John,

Recently, The Washington Post ran an article about the Alabama attorney general’s horrific comments on prosecuting people who take abortion pills. The article gave space and air to anti-abortion Students for Life’s pivot to prosecuting those providing this safe and effective medication.

We could not let this stand.

We have known and have spent years raising awareness to the fact that the logical consequence to any abortion ban is sending people to jail. So, we reminded them.

You can read my Letter to the Editor in the paper’s online edition here or check it out in print today.

Donate today if you agree that no one should be punished, jailed, or criminalized for having or providing abortion-related care.

Sincerely,

Erin Matson
Executive Director, Reproaction

P.S. “When people show you who they are, believe them.” It’s clear: they want to put people in jail for abortion, miscarriage, sexual freedom and more. Let’s say no.
