Are they really trying to make themselves extinct? Republicans, that is. Because if they aren't, it'd be hard to tell the difference.

I talked about this in my newest video at the Blue Amp Channel this week. Please go watch and in the comments let me know what you think!

When I was a college student in Philly in the mid-90s, I'd go to this one Irish pub downtown. You'd have to navigate your way through a haze of smoke when you walked in, and for the rest of the night you'd smell like an ashtray (and if you didn't shower that night, everything you touched at home would too).

Well, that's a big part of what this video is about (Please Watch it!).

Now you can also smell that way if you're a staffer, intern, constituent, media, personal security or anyone else unlucky enough to be stuck in a Republican House member's office for more than 10 minutes. And also perhaps die of an untreatable disease in the future.

Because in addition to idiotically getting rid of metal detectors to get to the House floor, once Republicans took over the House they added smoking in congressional offices to the inane rule changes they made that resemble the decision making of an emotionally stunted six-year old.

Let me be clear: If you're a smoker, that's your right! I'm not criticizing you in the slightest. We all get to make certain decisions for ourselves. But, we don't get to make those choices for other people. Just as I'll never accept Republicans deciding if my children should be safe from gunfire at school, sudden storms due to climate change or have access to a COVID vaccine.

But Republicans, due to their own emotional frailty and need to strike out at imaginary tormentors, think we should all have to suffer from their choices.

That's what this video is about. And this mentality of theirs is so central to the problems we're having--ones they won't allow us to solve--in this country right now. It's childish. It's selfish. It's obscene
