John,

Survivors are mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. Survivors are lawyers, authors, politicians, and nurses.

They are intelligent, strong, kind, and uniquely amazing people. And this resilience should be shared in their stories.

These are the words of survivor-advocate Annika Huff, responding to a crucial question:

What does it look like to center survivors in the fight to end human trafficking?

You’ll be informed and inspired by Annika’s response in her new blog.

As Annika reminds us:

The anti-trafficking movement can focus on the resilience and the positive attributes of a person, even after something as traumatic as human trafficking.

In the end, it is survivors who know best what survivors have to offer — and how important it is to the world that they have the tools they need to realize their fullest potential.

This Human Trafficking Awareness Month, thank you for being an ally working hand-in-hand with survivors.

Warmly,
