Team, because our grassroots movement helped secure the fairest congressional maps in 40 years, Republicans only won the slimmest of majorities in the House of Representatives.

As a result, the Republican Party is in chaos. They could barely muster enough votes to elect a Speaker, much less anything else!

The NDRC’s fight for fair maps blocked the GOP from winning a large enough majority to advance their extreme agenda of banning abortion, attacking voting rights, and undermining our democracy. This total Republican meltdown leaves us with two options:

Option 1

We can declare “mission accomplished,” and hope that Republicans continue destroying themselves from the inside.

Option 2:

We can take advantage of this moment, strengthen our grassroots movement while the GOP crumbles, and continue fighting for fair elections so we can take back the House in 2024.
