John, because our grassroots movement helped secure the fairest congressional maps in 40 years, Republicans only won the slimmest of majorities in the House of Representatives.

As a result, the Republican Party is in chaos. They could barely muster enough votes to elect a Speaker, much less anything else!

The NDRC’s fight for fair maps blocked the GOP from winning a large enough majority to advance their extreme agenda of banning abortion, attacking voting rights, and undermining our democracy. This total Republican meltdown leaves us with two options:

Option 1:

We can declare “mission accomplished,” and hope that Republicans continue destroying themselves from the inside.

Option 2:

We can take advantage of this moment, strengthen our grassroots movement while the GOP crumbles, and continue fighting for fair elections so we can take back the House and other important state legislative bodies in 2024.
