John, we want to introduce you to someone: Derrick Evans.
This former West Virginia state delegate live-streamed himself storming the Capitol and was arrested two days later, eventually getting sentenced to three months in prison for his role in the violence.
Now, he’s running for Congress.
Evans, a convicted felon who remains on court-supervised release, should be disqualified from holding public office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.
John, we’ve held folks like Evans accountable before. In New Mexico, we brought a case against an insurrectionist county commissioner – and we won.
We can do it again, but to be successful, we need the resources. Can you make a donation today to CREW’s efforts to prevent insurrectionists from holding office?
Those who participated in the January 6th insurrection attempted to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power in the United States.
Elected leaders or candidates for office who took an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution and then participated in the January 6th insurrection must be removed and barred from office.
We have to hold them accountable for their actions to protect this democracy.
CREW is on the frontline of these efforts to remove insurrectionists from office, and to prevent them from holding office. We need your help to take action across the county. Please, make a donation today to help fund our work →
Thanks,
Team CREW
