Libraries: cosy spaces for everyone

*Step out of the cold and come visit the library*
Here are just some of the ways you can make use of our warm, comfortable, accessible spaces:
* Meet with friends or simply get out of the house for a few hours.
* Warm yourself up with a free hot drink in any of our libraries.
* Bring your laptop or phone and make use of our free WiFi ?with no need to buy expensive beverages!
* Come to our numerous free events and groups including Totstime, book clubs, craft sessions and more.
* Libraries are a great place to get information and advice. Borrow up to 24 items: books, talking books, music scores, maps and more. Don?t worry about late fees as we don?t currently charge for late returns.
* Signposting to support and advice with health & wellbeing, money, finances and more

We know that money is tight for a lot of people in our communities so we?ve teamed up with Resident Development to purchase a collection of books covering topics such as budget cooking, managing money, growing your own and making and mending, to help you make the most of your income.?

Health & Wellbeing Events

We run a variety of regular drop in sessions across our libraries where you can come speak to professionals about issues that you are worried about, from health and wellbeing questions to financial guidance and benefits and signposting.

Clifton Library and Resident Development are hosting a series of drop-ins next week offering information and support on a range of topics from money and benefits to saving on your fuel bills, wellbeing and finding work.?
Drop in during the below times - drinks and light refreshments provided as well as activities for little ones.

Coder Dojos

A Dojo is a free, community-based programming club for anyone aged 7 to 17 to come learn to code, build a website, or create an app or game!
Run by our expert staff and volunteers,?Dojo's are a space for young people to explore technology in an informal, creative, safe and social environment.
Sessions will be starting very soon at Bilborough Library so get those ninjas booked on now!

Moon Rabbit and other Stories from China

This magical piece of storytelling theatre recounts some of the extraordinary myths and folk tales of China and East Asia, each one a firm favourite?with generations of Chinese and East Asian families.??
