John, January can be a tough month to get through, many of us have put on a couple of pounds after the extended holiday breaks, family get-togethers and endless baking sessions!

We are all back at work and now just trying to get on with our lives and hoping that our government is working hard to reduce the cost of groceries a bit. That is life, that is what most Americans are concerned with and that is what we Democrats are focused on.

Republicans have a very different agenda.

For starters, they have their eye on causing havoc and chaos. They want impeachment hearings so that they can try to get even while netting their 15 minutes of fame on Fox News. They want to drag the country through the mud so that they can tell their supporters they are "working".

One thing is clear: they are determined to take away social security benefits and John, that is our red line.

American Senior citizens worked their entire lives paying into social security. They have put in blood, sweat and tears into their social security and we will be damned if we move even one inch away from protecting our senior citizens. They have given everything to this country and they deserve to retire with dignity.

Everyday teachers, nurses, construction workers, secretaries, accountants and so many others are the people whom have paid into social security their entire adult lives and this is who the MAGA GOP is targeting. Why?!? so that Musk and company can save a few billion by not paying their fair share into taxes. When Musk said vote for Republicans in the midterms, this is why he said it. This is why millionaires and billionaires so heavily favor the GOP: because they don't care about the rest of us!

Our work is not easy. Our mission is not a popular or glamorous one. Going into America's heartland and talking to rural communities, that in most cases have been indoctrinated to hate us, well that's not an easy 9-5 job. Yet, for the staff here at No Dem Left Behind this is the career we chosen. And we do it because we believe in our mission. Because we love the work. And the fact is we relish in the grind. As long as you continue to support us - we will keep going.

Please chip in what you can so that we can keep reaching rural America and the working-class Americans living there reminding them that the Democratic party is working for them.
