** I love our columnists
------------------------------------------------------------

In case you missed the memo, back when we completely redesigned our magazine and shifted to a monthly publication schedule, we also rolled out a slate of amazing columnists. Some are old favorites who have been writing for the Century for years, and some are brand new additions to our pages.

Most of our columnists are included in a section of our magazine called “Voices.” We have 12 Voices columnists in total, 6 of whom are featured in each issue. We have some brand new Voices columns for you today, like Julian DeShazier’s reflection on the importance of bodies ([link removed]) and Yolanda Pierce’s ode to spiritually enriching science ([link removed]) . We do have a few non-Voices columnists, too, like our editor/publisher Peter Marty (read his recent piece about cognitive maps of faith ([link removed]) ) and Screen Time writer Kathryn Reklis (who recently reviewed the fun mystery movie Glass Onion ([link removed]) ).

Speaking of Century columnists—we have a great new video with one of them! Debie Thomas chatted with me ([link removed]) about one of her popular recent articles on theology and prayer.

Email me: Who are your favorite newspaper or magazine writers (from CC or otherwise)?

** Our holy, human bodies ([link removed])

“As wonderful and transformative as my youth group was, it was also a place where I heard almost weekly that my purpose in life was to be in deep relationship with God—and that my body was in the way.”

by Julian DeShazier

** Finding our way ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------

“I’ve noticed that people of faith tend to fashion their own kind of cognitive map over long stretches of time. Theirs becomes a way-finding map that allows them to visualize their place between the past and the future.”
by Peter W. Marty

** VIDEO: Debie Thomas on the relationship between theology and prayer ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------

Jon chats with Voices columnist Debie Thomas about how her view of God has shifted over the years—and the profound impact this has had on her practices of prayer.
