Seahorse To Officially Enter Operation Milagro January 24!
Dear John,
On Tuesday January 24, the Seahorse will officially enter Operation Milagro and join our partnership with the Mexican Navy to protect the Vaquita Porpoise.&nbsp;
This vessel has traveled quite a journey since we purchased it last summer with your support, most recently requiring a new engine as the last of its upgrades before engaging in Direct Action to help save this endangered marine mammal. Other upgrades include a modernized electrical system, sanitization of the water filtration system, bolstering the navigation system, and a new satellite system. This upgraded ship is our biggest investment yet in Milagro and after seeing the illegal fishing activity that threatens the Vaquita reduced by 72% in 2022, it enters our Direct Action campaign at the perfect time!

DAC and Matching Gift Challenge
So many of you supported our first Direct Action Crew campaign as well as the Matching Gift Challenge our Board established late last year. Both were overwhelming successes! Over 105 people joined our monthly giving DAC program, which provides critical funds that support every single aspect of our campaigns, from the captains and crews to the drones and the engines in our ships. Special thanks to Ryan McCall who established a Matching Gift Challenge back in the Fall of 2022 and led this campaign. This is a significant boost to our efforts to protect endangered species in the most fragile ecosystems on earth, and we thank everyone who joined and those who have supported us for years.
