National Hobby Month

January is the start of a new year, why not encourage students to start a new hobby too? For National Hobby Month, use our elementary math activity, How Does Our Class Compare?, to review and compare data about the number of girls and boys who play sports, take lessons, and participate in clubs. Then, students can compare their classroom data with the Census Bureau data to see how their class aligns with the rest of the United States.
