Power Points - LC's December
Power Points Project - December results!
*We’re now well underway into the Power Points project in Active Nottingham leisure centres and the results are in!*
As part of the project, each leisure centre wins points for reducing their energy consumption and completing sustainability actions, the monthly leader board shows which centre has been the most successful.
Congratulations to December’s winners Southglade Leisure Centre, with a very respectable average reduction of 16% across electricity and gas!
We’re off to a great start, using 7% less energy across all leisure centres compared to what was expected – that’s nearly 9 tonnes of climate change causing Carbon Dioxide (CO2e) avoided, which is about the same as taking two cars off the road. Thanks to all the staff and customers who have made it possible!
Look out for more ideas on how to save energy during your visit and if you spot a problem or have an idea, be sure to tell a member of staff.
