Hi John,

Today, we honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The vision Dr. King had for our country was never deterred by politics or partisanship. Rather, Dr. King was guided by the belief that every person — no matter their skin color — deserves equal rights.

So many activists, lawmakers, and public servants owe a debt of gratitude to Martin Luther King Jr. and he inspired some of the best civil rights legislation that we’ve fought to pass into law. He was unwavering and, John, we must be unwavering in our work too.

In honor of Dr. King, I implore you to support your communities today and everyday, fighting for a more just world.
