Team,

Today, we commemorate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and reflect on his enormous contributions to the fight for racial equity and justice.

As lawmakers across the country vote to dilute the voting rights of already disenfranchised communities, Dr. King’s legacy is a lighthouse to our efforts to fight back.

I am proud to have been a lead author of the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and to continue fighting to expand voting access in Congress.

Today, let’s honor his legacy by standing firm in our resolve to fight inequality.

Sincerely,

Linda
