I was the only single parent of young kids when I was sworn into Congress four years ago. But that’s not the only thing that made me different. I simply don’t “do Congress” the way most other people do.
- I don’t take money from corporate PACs, federal lobbyists, or executives from Big Oil, Big Pharma, or Wall Street Banks.
- I’m leading the fight to ban Members of Congress and their families from trading stocks.
- When Congress brought back earmarks (which are a way of funding Members’ pet projects) in 2021, I was the only Democrat to oppose them.
Now I’m running for the Senate because every Californian deserves a representative who will stand up to the special interests and big corporations who make life harder for working people.
I’ll stand up to corporate power and deliver for California. But this is going to be a tough race, and I need you on our team!
