John, today, I wanted to take a moment to talk about the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Throughout his life, Dr. King fought for a more fair and equitable society. His legacy continues to inspire us today and will continue to inspire generations to come.

We must continue his work in fighting for the values he held so dearly -- equal opportunity and justice for all. As Dr. King said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

I hope you’ll join me in taking a moment today to not only acknowledge his memory, but to reflect on how we may honor his legacy in our everyday lives.
