My Sisters and Brothers,
Today we commemorate Dr. King’s lifetime of heroism and courageous leadership fighting for equity & equal justice for all.
Each Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I reflect on how moved I became as I watched his “I Have a Dream” speech as a young girl in Milwaukee. Dr. King inspired me to become a champion and fighter for the people as a Congresswoman. How has he inspired you?
While we have made great progress, there is more to be done. Let us carry on the legacy and mission of Dr. King not only today, but each and every day as we march together toward equality and justice for all!
Together, #WeRepresent!
