In 1957, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood at the Lincoln Memorial and demanded lawmakers to “give us the ballot.”

“The denial of this sacred right [to vote] is a tragic betrayal of the highest mandates of our democratic traditions and it is democracy turned upside down."

Dr. King was determined to fulfill the promise of America and create a democracy that serves every American. The foundation was voting rights for all.

Today, voting rights are under attack once again. VoteRiders is dedicated to ensuring that every eligible American can cast a ballot that counts through voter ID education and assistance.
