I often find myself reflecting on a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. that says we all are “caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.”

This is a quote and a concept that guides every single one of my votes and decisions in the United States Senate. It guided my recent reelection campaign, where I was committed to bringing Georgians in and together.

I’m grateful for each and every one of you who helped power my campaign. This team is helping to power our fight towards equality and justice.

Every day, but especially today, we remember Dr. King’s powerful legacy, but we must also reflect on the unfinished business he left for all of us. We’ve got to secure the right to vote for every eligible American. We’ve got to fight to continue delivering lower costs and better health care for all people. And above all, we’ve got to keep the faith. Because when we do this, we can produce a world of positive difference through our actions that will impact future generations to come.

So, I hope you’ll join me in commemorating this Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by continuing his work and marching towards a better, more just future dedicated to all Americans.
