John,
Today, I’m reflecting on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy and immeasurable contributions to our nation – and at the same time, acknowledging how much work we still must do to achieve racial justice and true equity in this nation.
I’ve committed my life to social justice – including advancing racial justice through voting rights, addressing housing and educational disparities and fighting discrimination in the criminal justice system. That work continues now in my representation in Congress.
Together, let’s use today’s celebration of Dr. King to recommit to the fight for fair representation, justice, and equity for Black Americans.
In solidarity,
Hillary |
