Dear John,

Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. King dedicated his life to the nonviolent struggle for civil rights in our country and around the world. His work serves as an example of what is possible when we come together to fight for a better future.

May Dr. King’s legacy inspire us to do all things through love and light, and to never give up on the fight for freedom. A fight that continues.

In the words of Coretta Scott King, “Let this holiday be a day of reflection, a day of teaching nonviolent philosophy and strategy, a day of getting involved in nonviolent action for social and economic progress.”
