SIGN THE PETITION TO PROTECT THE RIGHT TO VOTE

[link removed]

Today, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., an icon of the Civil Rights Movement and an American hero who dedicated his life to ensuring every American had the right to vote, regardless of the color of their skin.

But right now, voter suppression is plaguing our country.

Over the past two years, Republicans have introduced over 440 bills in states across the country in an effort to make it harder to vote.

Let's be clear: These bills target voters of color. And in states like Alabama, Arizona and Florida, they are law.

Republicans have stalled two voting rights bills in the Senate: the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, which would address racial discrimination impacting the right to vote.

With a GOP-controlled House and a slim Senate majority, we need to raise our voices and fight like hell to make sure these measures pass. That's why on this MLK Day, we're asking for 5,000 signatures on our petition demanding that lawmakers take action to protect the right to vote. But we still need 1,582 more. Please, friend, add your name now:
