Today we honor Dr. King

Friend,

Today, we take time to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

His words and courage have inspired generations of activists. One speech that stands out to Team MDP today is this:

"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?’" - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This week, Michigan Democrats convened in Lansing, holding the majority and ready to lead Michigan successfully down a path to progress and continue to win.

As we lay the groundwork for the 2024 presidential election this year, we should keep Dr. King’s leadership and words in our minds as we unite to keep Michigan blue.

Dr. King believed in an America where everyone is heard, respected, and seen. Today as we honor his legacy, we commit to working together to strengthen Michigan this year and in years to follow for us all.

Onward,

Lavora Barnes
