Hi John,

This past Friday, Governor Abbott completely submitted to bigotry and xenophobia when he decided to make our state of the Texas the first state in our country that would bar the resettlement of any refugees. 

This week, Tarrant County stood up to our hateful governor and said refugees our welcome here — because that is what Texas is about. Our state is about welcoming everyone from all countries and backgrounds. It’s what makes our state so special and makes us the melting pot we are. 

Join me and the rest of our North Texas community to keep fighting against our governor and make sure that everyone knows our state is open to everyone.
