When I was appointed California’s Independent Monitor over the Big Banks following the 2008 mortgage crisis, I held their feet to the fire. I made sure they paid California families the billions our settlement determined they were entitled to.

In the House, I’ve introduced legislation to hold Wall Street accountable for cheating Californians. I’ve also confronted corporate executives directly in congressional hearings. Those whiteboard moments helped lead to real change—like a new law I wrote that’s cracking down on Big Pharma’s price gouging.

Now I’m running to represent California in the U.S. Senate, and the Big Banks will spend money attacking me.
