John,
George Santos needs to resign.

George Santos was sworn in earlier this month with what may be the most unique resume in Congress.
His resume includes attendance at a prestigious high school, and a graduation in the top 1% at Baruch College — where, according to him, he was also part of the championship volleyball team.
His resume includes highly-successful stints at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, which might be one way of explaining how he was able to loan his own campaign $700,000.
His resume that he presented to voters included claims that his grandparents fled the Holocaust, that he lost his mother in the terrorist attacks on September 11th, and that he had multiple employees who died in the Pulse nightclub shooting in 2016.
His resume is also 100% made up.
Despite these revelations and investigations into him by Nassau County, federal prosecutors, and even law enforcement in Brazil, Santos still refuses to resign his seat.
As ridiculous as Santos’s story is — and it really does just get worse — there’s more at stake here than having one more Republican liar in Congress.
With such a tight margin in the House, Republicans are desperate for every last vote, even from a complete fraud like Santos, to try and pass their cruel policies targeting working people.
And let’s be clear: Santos won his seat not just by lying to voters about his biography and resume, but also by lying and fear mongering about the “Radical Left” and a crime wave that does not exist. His only goal was to seize as much power as he could for himself, and for his wealthy friends, at the expense of everyone else.
This week, Santos said that he would resign if 142,000 people called for him to step down. Let’s call his bluff.
We’re asking you to sign our petition now to call for Santos’s resignation, to be one of those 142,000, and to get the people of NY-03 another shot at the representation they deserve.
