Kevin McCarthy's House Majority is secretly planning to force some of the most heartless, destructive social spending cuts in a generation.
According to reports, the House GOP is prepared to threaten the nation with catastrophic debt default in order to exact cuts to Social Security and Medicare, but in the meantime are also planning to slash funding for the Food Safety Administration, Air Traffic Control, the Department of Education and the Department of Justice.
They're willing "to pay bondholders but not fund school lunches or the FAA or food safety" is how one aide, quoted in the report, characterized the concessions.
Jack, Our first fundraising goal of 2023 is set at $25,000. Let's obliterate that goal and show the GOP that their heartlessness will not go unanswered. At the end of the day, we can either watch this chaos unfold and call it a tragedy, or we can STEP UP and see it as an opportunity.
