What's more exciting and full of possibility than the early weeks of the new year? Snow is still on the ground in many places, and the days are starting to get longer again. From working on our resolutions, to catching up with important people in our lives for the first time since the holidays, it's a time of both productivity and joy.
But the growing length of the days isn't the only change that we're experiencing. We're now in the first month of the election year, and fundraising efforts — especially from the deep-pocketed right-wing interests trying to prop up Virginia Republicans — are ramping up fast.
So John, just as foxes and deer make the most of January, we need to make this moment really count and power our grassroots movement all the way to November.
Republicans have shown this week (just a few days into the new legislative session) that they're more committed than ever to passing destructive legislation that infringes upon Virginians' rights and puts Glenn Youngkin's national aspirations ahead of the people's wellbeing.
We need to make damn sure that we expand our Senate majority this November and put a nail in the coffin to any further damage.
