Post article about the PCCC’s work and progressive influence in today’s
Washington DC:
WASHINGTON POST: "The first two years of Joe Biden’s presidency, including
many of its most notable successes, were shaped by the priorities and
actions of progressives….
"This 'resulted in an agenda that 99 percent of the party could rally
behind,' says Adam Green of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee.
"When it came time to craft Biden’s biggest bills -- the American Rescue
Plan, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act…the Inflation Reduction
Act -- progressives were allied with the administration against a few
[corporate-aligned] defectors…"
When Stephanie Taylor and Adam Green founded the PCCC 14 years ago, the
goal was to build progressive power -- by electing new heroes and working
with them to govern boldly. Back then, our populist economic agenda was
barely on the table. Now our issues are the mainstream.
[ [link removed] ]We still have a lot of work to do this year -- beating back Republican
attacks on progress while fighting for MORE on climate change, child care,
taxing the rich, and fighting corporate price gougers. Can you chip in to
keep our momentum going?

Predictability helps a lot!)
Over 14 years, PCCC members have donated over $35 million to help elect
dozens of champions in Congress who were not there when we started:
Elizabeth Warren, Raphael Warnock, John Ossoff, Tammy Baldwin, John
Fetterman, Katie Porter, Pramila Jayapal, Mark Pocan, Ilhan Omar, Ro
Khanna, Maxwell Frost, Greg Casar, Angie Craig, Summer Lee, and so many
others.
Our training program has helped hundreds of new leaders now elected to
school board, city council, state legislature, statewide office, and
Congress.
And we’re a leader in governing. Elizabeth Warren says "personnel is
policy." It matters who is in key decision-making roles in government.
The Washington Post elaborated:
"Just as important was the question of personnel. During the [Biden]
transition, the [Progressive Change Institute] created a database of key
executive branch positions and worked with other progressive groups to
suggest nominees, many of whom were hired." The [ [link removed] ]New York Times, [ [link removed] ]ABC
News, [ [link removed] ]The Nation and others covered this work.
Our government relations arm P Street -- the progressive alternative to K
Street -- is one of the most impactful progressive lobbying shops in
Washington DC.
You [ [link removed] ]can donate to P Street, or [ [link removed] ]make a tax-deductible donation to
the Progressive Change Institute’s push for big ideas.
Progressive power is growing. You’re a part of it. Thanks for being a bold
progressive.
Thanks for being a bold progressive.
