I REINTRODUCED MY 'FORCE ACT' TO MAKE SURE THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION HOLDS CUBA ACCOUNTABLE FOR ITS CRIMES
This week, I reintroduced the FORCE Act in the U.S. House of Representatives. This was the first bill I introduced when I became a member of Congress in 2021. The FORCE Act ensures that neither the President nor the Secretary of State can remove the Cuban communist regime from the U.S.' list of State Sponsors of Terrorism until the conditions set forth in the 'Libertad Act' of 1996 establishing human rights on the island are met first.
The Cuban people deserve their liberty, and the Biden administration CANNOT let the Regime's crimes go unpunished.

I PRESENTED A PLAN TO BUILD ECONOMIC PROSPERITY FOR THE UNITED STATES AND LATIN AMERICA THROUGH TRADE & FREE MARKETS
One of the keys to solving our nation's immigration crisis involves strengthening our economic and political ties within our Hemisphere. The 'Americas Act' accomplishes both of those goals.
China is the biggest geopolitical threat facing the American people. From the widespread usage of TikTok to their attempted installation of 5G infrastructure across Western Europe, China is now spreading its influence into Latin America thanks to the accommodating policies of the Cuban, Venezuelan, and Nicaraguan regimes.
One thing is clear—America must retake our economy from overdependence on Chinese production. Returning American manufacturing to the Hemisphere is critical to making sure our economy remains strong. This is especially true when the Chinese refuse to play fair on the world stage. This is why I introduced a discussion draft of the Americas Trade and Investment (AMERICAS) Act with Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (LA).
My bill would re-shore and near-shore manufacturing to the United States by fostering integration and innovation between our economy and those of other countries in the Americas who share our values.

I VOTED TO REPEAL 87,000 IRS AGENTS THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION IS TRYING TO UNLEASH ON SMALL BUSINESSES AND THE MIDDLE CLASS
The Biden Administration's war on the middle class is not over—the misleadingly named 'Inflation Reduction Act' included a provision to hire 87,000 new IRS agents to go after small businesses and middle class Americans.
While the Biden Administration has repeatedly lied about who the agents will go after, research shows it will be ordinary families across the United States who will foot the bill—and get audited.
This week, I voted to repeal this funding and protect small businesses owners and individuals. As your Congresswoman, protecting you and your family is my priority.
