John, have you heard of a man named George Santos, the new House Republican elected to represent Long Island, exposed by the New York Times for fabricating practically his entire life story?

You know, this guy:

Yup. He actually said that. These people are totally shameless. But before we catalog only some of the many lies George Santos has told to pave his way to Congress, will you chip in $10 to help our team respond to GOP grifters like George Santos?

Santos lied about where he went to high school.

He lied about where he went to college.

He lied about working at Goldman Sachs.

He lied about working at Citigroup. (Do people really lie about that?)

He lied about his criminal history of check fraud in Brazilian court records. (That’s very specific.)

He lied about his real estate portfolio.

He lied about founding an animal charity. (How low does it get?)

He lied about his grandmother surviving the Holocaust. (Ok, it gets a lot lower. That’s beyond despicable.)

He lied about being Jewish — or, as Santos later explained, “Jew-ish.” (I’m not even going to comment on that.)

He lied about employing four victims who died in the Pulse nightclub shooting. (Seriously, who does that?)

He may have even lied about his mother’s death being linked to 9/11. (Ugh.)

George Santos has told a lot of lies to get where he is today. Which is serving New York’s 3rd Congressional District in the House of Representatives.

He has disgraced the House to an extraordinary degree. (And that’s really saying something.)

But that’s just par for the course for MAGA Republicans these days. After all, they learned from the master — the twice-impeached, disgraced former president.

But Kevin McCarthy won’t do anything about it. Why? Because without Santos, he can’t be Speaker. His whole position is dependent on liars and fraudsters like George Santos.
