Dear Friend of MCV,
The 2023 Legislative Session is here! Each year, we work with the nearly forty environmental, conservation, and public health organizations in Maine’s Environmental Priorities Coalition (EPC) [[link removed]] to identify a shared agenda for the legislative session. Together with our EPC partners, we’ve identified a slate of priority bills for 2023 that will advance climate action, further environmental justice, protect biodiversity and our environment, and cultivate healthy Maine communities.
We hope you’ll join us on Thursday, January 26th at the State House in Augusta to learn more about our 2023 issue agenda and meet some of the lawmakers and partner organizations who are championing our priorities at the annual Environmental Priorities Coalition Legislative Breakfast.
2023 Legislative Breakfast

At this kick-off event, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the key role you can play in protecting Maine's land, water, and wildlife, building an equitable clean energy future, and fighting for environmental and social justice. The event will also feature a zero-waste breakfast (thanks to our colleagues at MOFGA [[link removed]] ).
Can’t make it to the State House? You will have another chance to hear about the EPC’s priorities for 2023 at our virtual Lunch & Learn on Friday, January 27, from 12-1 PM, featuring the lawmakers and advocates behind our priority bills. Register for the Lunch & Learn here [[link removed]].
We hope to see you at one or both of these events!
Stay warm,
