MSNBC: “'It's what bipartisanship looks like': Senator on new bridge project”

Sherrod appeared on MSNBC to discuss the progress being made on Ohio’s new Brent Spence Bridge, a project that will improve commutes and transportation for Ohioans and local businesses. It was made possible by the bipartisan infrastructure bill signed into law last year and Sherrod’s provision to rebuild and upgrade thousands of deteriorating bridges in Ohio and across the country.

Everyone should be able to marry whom they love. Sherrod knows that -- that’s why he’s been a champion for marriage equality for years, and recently, he helped pass and send the Respect for Marriage Act to President Biden’s desk to protect same-sex and interracial marriages in the face of the Supreme Court’s threats to marriage equality.

Spectrum News 1: “Brown renews push for expanded child tax credit”

When Congress expanded the Child Tax Credit, it cut child poverty nearly in half, and over 90% of Ohio families with children saw more money in their pockets for things like groceries and child care. Sherrod is continuing his efforts to extend the expanded CTC to give Ohio families a little more breathing room.

Fulton County Expositor: “Connecting Ohio veterans with PACT Act benefits”

Last year, Sherrod led the passage of the PACT Act, the most comprehensive expansion of benefits for veterans exposed to toxic pollution in U.S. history. Read Sherrod’s op-ed on what this new law will mean for vets in Ohio and across the country.

OH-SEN UPDATE: According to NBC, next year’s Ohio Senate race is expected to be “even nastier and more expensive” than last year’s contest, and the Hill named Sherrod one of the “most vulnerable” Senate Democrats up for re-election next year.
