This increases my ability to continue to deliver results for Central Washington and resolve critical issues impacting all Americans. The House of Representatives is taking a new direction in addressing record inflation, supply chain issues, increasing energy costs, and our immigration crisis. In just one week, we have already passed critical legislation that will help the people of Central Washington. I look forward to continuing to serve the hard-working men and women of Washington's 4th Congressional District and I thank you for your ongoing support. As always, don't hesitate to reach out to my office for assistance.     Prohibiting the Sale of Our Strategic Petroleum Reserves to the Chinese Communist Party One of the first actions of the 118th Congress was to pass Congresswoman McMorris Rodgers' (R-WA) bill, the Protecting America's Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) from China Act, of which I was a proud cosponsor. It should not have to be stated: we simply should not allow our oil to be exported to the Chinese Communist Party. China is one of our nation's greatest threats and we should not allow our SPR to be sold to one of our nation's adversaries, let alone at a time when energy and gas prices are increasing, and our SPR levels are at record lows. This legislation is a strong step forward in protecting our sovereignty and national security, and I am proud to have supported this bill. While families are struggling with record-high inflation and rising prices, we should be fighting to keep more money in your pockets -- not using the IRS as a weapon against law-abiding citizens. This legislation is an important step towards recovery for families in Central Washington.
