Dear John,

Throughout the first week of the new session with Republican control, we've gotten a good sense of their priorities. So far they've promised to gut Social Security and Medicare, shown a complete disregard for our democracy, and made it clear that they're intent on criminalizing abortion.

So I'll be equally clear. My priority is to fight for working families. I'm working to promote economic justice, defend our democracy, and protect abortion rights, and I'm ready to work as hard as ever to deliver.

While Republicans spend the next two years trying to undo all the progress we've made, I'll spend them fighting for you — and building momentum to win back the House. Because it's clear that everything from reproductive rights to gun safety to climate action is on the line.
