We hope you had a great week thus far! Congressman Kim had a full week in Washington, getting to work in the new Congress and voting on the first pieces of legislation. At the start of the week, the Congressman also honored Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. We want to say another thank you to all our law enforcement officers across our community who work to keep us safe.

Congressman Kim Signs his Third Oath of Office

At the start of each Congress, Representatives sign an Oath of Office for the upcoming term. We are grateful and honored to begin this journey again with you, pledge to uphold our oaths to protect and defend the Constitution, and make a solemn promise to serve you during the 118th Congress.

Congressman Kim Votes to Defend the Right to Healthcare

As one of their first actions of the 118th Congress, House Republicans’ introduced legislation that attacks reproductive rights, spreads dangerous and hateful disinformation, and criminalizes care. Congressman Kim voted against these bills and recommitted to defending women’s rights.

Partnering with Rowan and Local Police Departments to Expand Access to Resources!

Congressman Kim and our office were happy to join Rowan University and a number of local Burlington County police departments today to discuss accessing additional federal funding through grant opportunities! The workshop focused on where to find funding and the process of applying to programs!

Together we can make sure our officers and departments have the resources they need to stay safe and keep others safe.

Today is Korean American Day!

Today, Congressman Kim helped commemorate Korean American Day, the 120th anniversary since the first Korean immigrants arrived in the United States. This year will also mark the 70th anniversary since the Korean War armistice. Watch Congressman Kim’s message on the impact of the Korean American community and the importance of reflecting on today’s anniversary.

Earlier this week, the Congressman joined the Korean Immigration Forum Korean American Foundation of Greater Washington and the Korean American Grassroots Conference to celebrate Korean American Day. He spoke about the Korean American journey in the United States and its impact on generations of immigrant families and forging a pathway for the U.S. Korea alliance and partnership.

Congressman Kim Joins CAPAC Colleagues for Ceremonial Swearing-In

On Wednesday, Congressman Kim participated in the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies’ ceremonial swearing-in for the 118th Congress. Congressman Kim looks forward to another productive Congress working with his Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus colleagues, local leaders, and organizations like APAICS to uplift AAPI voices and issues.

Congressman Kim Speaks with Literacy New Jersey

Congressman Kim met with Literacy New Jersey this week via Zoom! We are grateful for the local organizations’ efforts to open doors for adults across our community through language and literacy education.

NJ ANCHOR Deadline Extended to February 28th!

The NJ ANCHOR application deadline has been extended to February 28th, 2023. The program provides property tax relief to eligible homeowners and renters. Learn more about the program’s criteria and how to apply on the program’s webpage.

Open Enrollment and Medicare Enrollment Reminder!

You can enroll for your 2023 healthcare coverage via healthcare.gov. On the marketplace, you can review different plans and find an affordable option that works for you. In New Jersey, open enrollment goes until January 31st. You can get started at Get Covered NJ.
