John,
Last year, Canada welcome a record number of
immigrants: 431,000. According to the Liberal government’s plan, this
number will reach 500,000 in 2025.
Half a million
every year!
That’s double the average number
of immigrants under the Harper government. It means adding the
equivalent of Halifax or Quebec City to our population every
year.
As you know, I have been sounding the alarm
about the negative repercussions of mass immigration for several years
already. More and more people are finally waking up and raising the
same issues in the mainstream media.
This week, an article explained that “Canada’s largest cities
are getting bigger and more expensive, forcing hundreds of thousands
of people to search for affordable housing elsewhere. ...
International migration, however, more than offset these losses.”
That’s right. Trudeau’s mass immigration policies are
forcing residents to move out of big cities in search of more
affordable housing elsewhere, while immigrants take their
place.
John, do you agree that this makes no
sense at all?!
An economist wrote that Canadians are right to
worry about excessive immigration levels because “immigrants not only
add to the demand for housing, they also increase congestion for a
wide range of public services: doctors, hospitals, schools,
universities, parks, retirement homes, and roads and bridges, as well
as the utilities that supply water, electricity and sewers.”
Another economist explained that immigration is
not some magic pill for saving the economy and solving labour
shortages. Indeed, it reduces incentives for firms and workers already
here to invest in the skills needed to fill those positions, and
“therefore has the potential to weaken productivity and lower wages.”
Finally, a Globe and Mail columnist mentioned all
these issues and said that “we should be able to have this
conversation without fear of being labelled a racist or xenophobe. We
should be able to have that conversation in the best interests of
those already living here, and the ones yet to arrive.”
He’s absolutely right.
The tide is turning,
and mass immigration is finally becoming a mainstream topic.
As usual, the PPC was way ahead of everyone. Our immigration policy calls for focusing on
Canada’s economic interests and reducing the number of immigrants to
between 100,000 and 150,000 per year.
John, if you
agree with the PPC’s common sense immigration policy, please help amplify our voice in this crucial debate
