We need your help to keep neighborhood storm drains clearThe Kitsap Peninsula is currently taking a beating with heavy rains. Crews are seeing an increase in localized flooding caused by leaves and debris blocking storm drains. 

Kitsap County Public Works and your local jurisdictions are working hard to keep roads clear, and residents can help reduce the chance of flooding in their neighborhood.

Blocked Storm Drains - What to Do

  • Monitor neighborhood storm drains. Rake away any leaves or debris blocking the drain.
  • NEVER remove a storm drain lid or attempt to clean a drain located in a busy street.  
  • Do not wade into water when you are unsure of the depth.
