For years now, the far-right has been united in its assault on our democracy, from the halls of Congress to state houses, city halls, courtrooms, and school boards across the country. This has been joined by a rise in violent right-wing extremism against Black and brown communities, Jewish people, LGBTQ+ people, political leaders, journalists, and others.

Donald Trump is certainly responsible for unleashing so much chaos and hatred in our country. But this is bigger than any one person or election cycle. There is a growing authoritarian movement around the globe that seeks to erode the basic principles of democracy: equality, freedom, and the peaceful transfer of power.

The truth is we won’t be able to stop the far-right if we don’t stand together and build a movement that is stronger than theirs. That’s what our campaign has been doing since day one.

We haven’t given up the push to pass a Voting Rights Act and protect our fundamental democratic rights. We haven’t given up on confronting extremism in our communities. We haven’t given up on holding Trump and the GOP responsible for their role in the January 6th insurrection.
