Thanks to everyone who turned out last night at Brick River Cider and on Facebook for our first meeting of the year! Now it’s time to answer the question – which candidates should earn STLYD’s endorsement in the 2023 municipal elections?

Voting is open until Sunday, January 15 at 11:59 pm.

• Voting YES means you want STLYD to endorse the candidate.
• Voting NO means you don’t think STLYD should endorse any of the listed candidates for that ward.
• Choosing ABSTAIN means you do not want vote for or against any candidates for that ward.

Since we all love to be informed voters, here are links to all the candidate questionnaires. Candidates gave us detail on lots of different policy areas and issues, so make sure to check their responses out. You can also check out the recording of last night’s forum if you weren’t able to catch it live.

Even if you do not wish to vote on endorsements, we encourage all members to still use the form to vote on the proposed changes to our bylaws regarding the introduction of two new board positions for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Director and Accessibility Director.

Voting is open to all members if you have:

1. Paid your $25 membership dues (if this is a financial barrier for you, please send us an email or DM on our social pages)
2. Attended at least 1 STLYD event last year – this includes community action events, membership meetings, and any of our social events either in person or virtually
