John, even a special election loss this week isn't deterring Virginia Republicans. They're moving full speed ahead in the House of Delegates with another bill designed to further restrict abortion rights.

The latest Republican effort at restricting reproductive freedom in our Commonwealth comes in the form of a "personhood" bill. These laws provide rights to unborn children. Effectively, they open up anyone to prosecution who makes the deeply personal decision to end a pregnancy.

This proposed bill is a stealth abortion ban, and Hala is campaigning hard to make sure that voters know the truth about all the tricks Republicans are employing to sell an extreme agenda. But that takes resources.

With the election year ramping up, the costs of hiring new staff, building a field program, and buying TV ads are coming into focus. And we can't afford to fall behind on our essential operations.
