Dear John,
As you may recall, last December CCAGW and our members helped win passage of President Trump’s landmark trade agreement with Mexico and Canada in the House of Representatives. Now, the Senate is expected to vote on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) as early as Thursday, January 16.
I urge you in the strongest possible terms to tell your U.S. Senators to pass Trump’s trade deal today!
The USMCA is the most significant trade agreement in a quarter of a century. It’s exactly the type of trade deal America needs to keep our economy growing.
The agreement modernizes trade practices between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to help American workers and businesses stay competitive. The USMCA is projected to generate $68 billion in new economic activity and create at least 176,000 new American jobs.
What’s more, the USMCA will increase investment and jobs in the U.S. automotive sector; open up new international agricultural markets to America’s farmers and ranchers; and provide enhanced protections for our innovators and inventors.
John, with a deciding vote on the future of the trade deal slated to take place in the Senate TOMORROW, it’s absolutely essential that you make your voice heard right now.
Tell your U.S. Senators to vote for the USMCA. It will only take a minute of your time.
Please don’t delay!
Sincerely,
Allen Benjamin Johnson, III
Director of Government Affairs
