George Santos is now being investigated for crimes in the United States and Brazil. Investigators were put onto his tracks by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW.)

Would you join us in giving CREW $5, $10, $25 or whatever you can today, so we can be sure someone will get to the bottom of the criminality that seems to naturally emanate from George Santos?

In addition to the fact he's wanted in Brazil for using a stolen checkbook and fake name to commit bank fraud, Congressmen Ritchie Torres and Dan Goldman hand delivered an ethics complaint to Santos' office that they filed with the Congressional Ethics Office because Santos' breaking campaign finance law numerous times.

He ignored legally required filings, even more important in his case as he was broke when he ran for office in 2020, but suddenly had millions--a big chunk of which he loaned his campaign--in 2022. We know that the Russian-American cousin of sanctioned Russian oligarch and friend of Putin Viktor Vekselberg funneled nearly $60,000 in total to various PACs, committees and the local Nassau County Republican Party (who just demanded he resign) for Santos' campaign.

But where did the rest of the money come from? Was it illegally funneled through his business by the same Russians? Others? We don't know because Santos ignored the law and refused to tell us. What Torres and Goldman have done is important, but with Republicans in control jelly-spined Kevin McCarthy will do all he can to weaken this effort.

This is why we need Citizens for Responsible Ethics in Washington (CREW) on this. They are the kind of bulldogs who get results, going after names in the past you'll know such as Tom DeLay, Jack Abramoff and you can almost pick any name from the thoroughly corrupt Trump Administration.
