John, following up on yesterday’s news.

Newly released documents show one of my Republican opponents, Robert F. Hyde, in contact with Giuliani associate Lev Parnas, stalking the movement of U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch – jeopardizing her safety and welfare in the region.

Stalking her movements is shocking enough. What is even more disturbing is the implication of the texts, including the ultimate one: “They are willing to help if we/you would like a price.”

We cannot allow this man to take this seat. He is trafficking in conspiracy theories and endangering American officials abroad. This recklessness does not belong in the U.S. Congress or in CT-05.

Hyde's messages to Lev Parnas are deeply disturbing. I still cannot quite believe this is coming from my own district. One thing is for sure: This does not represent who we are and is definitely not reflective of CT-05.
