January 22nd, 2023.
The 50th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.
Madison, Wisconsin.
That is where you’ll find us — women and allies from all over — gathered in the streets, marching as one to send anti-abortion extremists a clear message: We’re pissed that our rights were stolen, and we are not staying silent.
So, why in Madison, anyway? We’ll tell you 👇
Right now, at this very moment, a law from 1849 is preventing access to abortion in Wisconsin.
That was no typo, John. 1849.
But you know how we roll — we are NOT letting this slide. The upcoming Wisconsin Supreme Court election this spring is our best chance to defeat the conservative majority, which could decide whether or not this 173-year-old law stands.
All this to say: Winning the Supreme Court election in Wisconsin is *critical* to our movement and our feminist future. That’s why we’re taking the fight to them, and we’re doing it on a day they can’t ignore: The 50th anniversary of the Roe decision.
See you out there. ✊🏿✊🏼✊🏽
